Silicon Valley: Barcelona set for their final stop

After their stays in Portland and Dallas, Barcelona round off their North American tour with a spell in California.

Silicon Valley, Santa Clara and San Jose are all on the agenda for the team with a visit to Facebook’s headquarters in Menlo Park pencilled in for Friday.

In fact, Barcelona are the sports team with the most Likes on the social network, having surpassed 100 million in the aftermath of their famous 6-1 comeback win over Paris Saint-Germain just over 12 months ago.

A club delegation is also due at Rakuten’s research centre in Silicon Valley with it no surprise that Didac Lee, the Blaugrana head of new technologies, is among the travelling party.

The training base of MLS team San Jose Earthquakes will host the squad for the last four days of their pre-season tour, at the end of which they face AC Milan at Levi’s Stadium in the San Francisco Bay Area.
