Real Madrid’s new Brazilian pearl Vinicius Junior who has shone in training under Julen Lopetegui has been surprisingly been listed as a youth player by the club.
He is on the website of the Madrid football federation along with one other ‘Juvenil A’ player Miguel Gutierrez Ortega.
The club assured that it is simply an administrative matter that has nothing to do with the future of the player and that by being so listed means that it frees up space for other other players.
The strategy also means that Vinicius will be eligible to play for three of Madrid’s teams next season if necessary.
Despite Real paying 45 million euros for him adn he was awarded a high profile presentation, Vinicius does not appear as a first team player on the club’s website.
He may be a proven player in Brazil who has experience of the Copa Libertadores but he still has to convince Lopetegui.
