Malcom’s Roma move called off after Barca make €41m offer to hijack the deal

In a surprise late twist, Barcelona could hijack Roma’s bid for Malcom after Bordeaux denied him permission to fly to Italy.

Malcom was due to land in Rome on Monday evening ahead of a medical with the Giallorossi the following morning, the club having agreed a reported €36m deal for the attacker.

However, Sky Sport Italia claims Les Girondins did not authorise his flight to the Italian capital as Barca came in with a higher offer.

It is reported that Barcelona have bid €41m for Malcom and the player is called off any deal with Roma as soon as he was told of their interest.

Early reports said that hMalcom was set to complete a move to Eusebio Di Francesco’s Roma side for €38m, but as Barcelona have filed a better offer, his travel arrangements – possibly his move to Roma – were cancelled.
