Lewandowski makes history as Bayern warm up for Real Madrid clash

Robert Lewandowski has now hit more goals in the Bundesliga than any other non-German after he came on to score in a 3-0 win away to Hannover.

Bayern Munich are preparing for their Champions League clash with Real Madrid by resting their regulars and Hummels, Ribery, Javi Martinez, Muller and Kimmich were all on the bench along with the Pole.

It was a dour game that saw Lars Lukas Mai make his debut for the Bavarian club and he had little work to do at the back.

Bayern were forced to turn to their bench for fire power and Muller slotted home a pass from Bernat before Lewandowski got the second, to bring up five goals for the latter in seven games and he now has 28 this season.

His second half header also brought up his 105th goal in the Bundesliga and he beat the previous record by a foreigner in the Bundesliga, that was set by Pizarro.

Sebastian Rudy completed the scoring for the Heynckes’ side a minute from the end.
